Joy’s latest installment of Curated Living highlights the beauty of Cameroonian Juju Hats.
I will be launching a regular series called Curated Living which travels the world finding intricately made objet d’art that are rich in beauty and culture. First up on Curated Living Juju Hats from Cameroon.
A symbolic art of the Bamiléké tribe in Cameroon, Juju Hats embody prosperity and the positive qualities of birds. This headdress is worn by royal dancers during auspicious ceremonies for the tribal chief. The cyclical, feathery nature of the Juju Hat has found its way into interior design as captivating wall hangings that work in virtually any space.
Yet, my favorite design idea with these glorious Juju Hats is the Juju Table available through Kronbali. The table base is made in France and perfectly houses the hat’s lush volume while a glass topper creates the ideal surface.
Available through special inquiry at kronbali@kronbali.com.
