As McLaren experiences an unprecedented period of growth, the McLaren MSO Bespoke takes personalization to new levels.
McLaren Special Operations (MSO) was unveiled in 2011 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Yet, the division has actually existed since the 1990’s as it perfected personalization and customer care for owners of the McLaren F1. Since the brand already offers a level of exclusivity in its limited editions, McLaren MSO Bespoke provides even more customized specificity. Options include colors, stitching details on the interior, custom leather and even 24-carat-gold heatshields around the engine bay.
The brand’s has also unveiled a Financial Services division to make McLaren ownership more accessible. Partnered with JBR Capital, the service (now in the UK) will provide flexible financing options for all models.
This period of growth is also helping the hypercar up its brand integration. Viewers of HBO’s new series “Ballers” starring Dwayne Johnson may have noticed a notable scene in which one his out of control football clients had decided to lease a McLaren. The act of which was insinuated by the baller to be “belt-tightening” on the budget.
