Joy Donnell believes in pursuing the legacy, not the currency. She’s a Founding Partner and former CEO of corporate and celebrity PR/branding firm, 720 PR, a Partner at Opulent Pictures, a publicity consultant and international speaker on the subjects of reputation maintenance and self-publicity.

Donnell has aided branding and public relations efforts for corporations such as DaimlerChrysler USA, The Carissa Project/Virgin Mobile’s Re*Generation, GM, Warner Bros.’ Oscar-nominated film Blood Diamond, and many others. She’s also connected brands to many celebrities including Samuel L Jackson, Patti LaBelle, and Calista Flockhart.

In 2007, Donnell’s firm achieved 618 national press placements in the US alone, resulting in approximately 689 million media impressions through online, TV, radio, and print outlets. Under her leadership, the firm increased its yearly press placements to over 800 million impressions in 2009.

She has spoken for business organizations, talent unions, and conventions including AFTRA, SCORE and the PR Congress. Recently, Joy served as publicity consultant for the sold-out 2010 Ivy Bethune Tri-Union Diversity Awards, the only award presented by all three professional talent unions: SAG, AFTRA, and Actor’s Equity.

Donnell’s PR insights have been featured in print and online publications including E! Online, Examiner.com, Upstart Smart magazine, and Entrepreneur Women magazine. And just to keep things interesting, her Hollywood social jaunts have been featured in Genlux and Cosmopolitan magazines.

Her PR advice column, Ask Joy, is nationally syndicated and answers readers questions about the highs and lows of self-publicity and DIY PR. Donnell’s advice through her columns is a glimpse into the guidance she provides through her seminars, keynotes, and private consulting.
